Breathable Mesh Upper
Engineered mesh uppers will encase each foot in breathable comfort. Lightweight and highly breathable for all-temperature comfort, the mesh acts as a lightweight second skin, providing a supportive and comfortable fit. Its perforated construction allows air to fully permeate the entire upper, letting your feet breathe when the temperature starts to rise or your training session heats up. The upper construction also features foot-shape technology which allows the toes to be relaxed within the shoe. It allows them to spread out naturally with the big toe remaining in a straight position for additional comfort, speed and stability. An updated heel construction ensures a secure and comfortable fit so you can go further for longer. Completing the upper is a lacing system that locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.
A-Bound Midsole
Within the midsole, there is durable and reactive EVA. This is Altra’s developed A-Bound cushioning, an extremely lightweight EVA foam, which absorbs shocks, cushions the feet and provides effective rebound, giving you a spring in each step. InnovArch arch has also been used within the midsole to provide a comfortable and dynamic fit. The system encourages better foot placement with each step whilst the contoured insole surface engages with the nerves in your feet. As well as this, a guide rail provides increased support when and where you need it the most. Completing the midsole is a zero-drop platform whose cushioning levels at the heel and forefoot are the same. This allows the feet to have a more natural alignment with the ground and provides you with added stability so you can run faster and further for longer.
Durable Outsole
Built to last, the durable rubber outsole is able to look after itself over the course of a long time. Abrasion-resistant, bumps and scrapes on the road will be deflected away. In addition to this, grip and traction is guaranteed as the rubber can form a strong bond with any surface. Using Altra’s Footpod technology, the rubber outsole maps the bones and tendons of the foot, making it bend and move in a more natural way.
